Mental Health counseling

Our Counseling Services

At B.E.T.H. you work with a team consisting of a Licensed Practitioner of Counseling with the option of additional care from one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

We offer multidisciplinary counseling for you and your entire family, informed by our work with the scientific approach of ABA, but not limited to it. We use empirically validated techniques derived from ABA. At the same time, we allow you to express how you are feeling and open your heart to the possibility of change, closure, solace, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

How We Can Help

Counseling for the Entire Family

When a family member receives a diagnosis, dramatic change and extraordinary challenges are inevitable. For the family member with a disability, that means everyone’s attention is focused on their well being. But what happens to the rest of your family? If we focus only on the diagnosed child and ignore the health of the other family members, that undermines our chances of success. We have to care for the entire family. Every family member has their own learning process to undertake, and B.E.T.H. offers guidance on those individual journeys. In helping your diagnosed child, we gain insight into your whole family, and we can leverage that insight to help everyone in it.

General Counseling

At B.E.T.H., we strive to create a safe space that is grounded in non-judgement and mutual trust. No matter what you’re experiencing–a challenging phase of life, family concerns, addiction, new relationships–or if you simply need a person to talk to, we will hear you out. We’re here to help you navigate your heart’s truth. We offer interventions for addiction, couples, teens, and individuals.

Counseling for Parents

You want more than anything to care for your child. But the special challenges of caring for a diagnosed child aren’t all related to  what you do for them. You can’t be an effective caregiver without looking after yourself. Whether you’re parenting as a couple or on your own, it helps to have a “rock” to support you and a place to recharge. We can be there to remind you that “you got this.”

Counseling for Siblings

You want the best for your sibling and you understand that there are good reasons for the family’s attention to be focused elsewhere. Still, it can be hard when you feel you aren’t being heard or even noticed. Your perspective on what is happening is valid. This is an opportunity to talk through the big changes that you and your family are going through.

Counseling for Addiction

If you’re struggling with addiction, you know it’s hard to go it alone. Our Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) can help you identify and cope with the environmental variables that impact your everyday living. We’re here to offer support, without judgement and with an open heart.
